Meet the Buyers: Infrastructure and Renewable Energy in India

Infrastructure has become a major focus area of the Indian government. With plans to spend C$1.8 trillion between 2019 to 2025, projects such as highways, railways, ports, airports, and transportation are underway to combat the challenges of rapid urban growth to build a sustainably developed country.

India is also developing 100 smart cities. The country’s risk of severe environmental problems also creates opportunities for investments in low-carbon solutions such as renewable energy, clean coal and energy efficiency. By 2030, renewable energy will account for 55 percent of installed power capacity in India.

The program will feature:

• The latest developments in the sectors;
• Advice on how Ontario companies may gain access to the Indian market; and
• A pitch session allowing export-ready Ontario companies to showcase their services or technologies to potential Indian buyers and partners.

B2B meetings will be arranged afterward based on interest from both sides.
