28 feature films from 28 European countries will be screened at the Royal from November 10-24. From 19th century Amsterdam to today Estonian country side, from a Portuguese ADN laboratory to the Sami people in Finland, let's come and travel, laugh and cry, feel and relax!

 New this year!

 

This year we have selected 6 short films will be screened before some of the feature films. A great way to discover more about European cinemas. In collaboration with York University.

 


Also new this year, a round table 'What makes a European film?' with 4 European filmmakers presenting their film at this year's EUFF, Thomas Lilti, Panos Karkanevatos, Joram Lürsen and Wiebke Von Carolsfeld.
This event will take place
on November 12 at 4pm
at the Royal Cinema.  




And this is not all! Two exhibitions are part of EUFF2016!
First at the Goethe-Institut 'Fassbinder 1945-1982', in collaboration with TIFF, that pays homage to the famous German director.
And from November 16 and for a month the exhibition 'Cinema Faces' by Toronto-based photographer Jean-Baptiste Le Mercier will be on at the Alliance Française .
