Business Insider predicts the number of connected devices will explode from 10 billion in 2015 up to 34 billion by 2020, with nearly $6 trillion being spent on IoT solutions within those five years. Cisco expects the IoT market will be approximately $14.4 trillion by the year 2022.

In Japan, the IoT market is expanding annually at about 17% and is expected to reach US$126 billion by 2020. Many Japanese companies, from device and sensor manufacturers to network and cloud facilitators, are developing products and solutions for the IoT market.

Japan and Canada are two of the global leaders that will contribute to the continued drive of this movement towards growing connectivity, both with regards to being early adopters as well as innovators of the technology.

This seminar on the IoT market in Japan is designed to highlight the opportunities for Canadian IoT companies in Japan and the opportunities to work with Japanese partners to develop IoT solutions for global markets.
