The Mayor of Apeldoorn will present the silver medal of honour to Peter Mansbridge, for his continued efforts to promote the City of Apeldoorn. Since 1995, CBC’s live broadcasts from Apeldoorn of the Liberation anniversary celebrations in May with host Peter Mansbridge and his CBC team, familiarized millions of Canadians with Apeldoorn, City of the Veterans’ Parade.
11:30 a.m. registration and cash bar, Terrace Room and Outdoor Veranda
12:15 p.m. luncheon in the Ballroom, followed by presentation which includes footage of personal impressions of Peter Mansbridge about the times he spent in Apeldoorn covering the Veterans’ Parades and other Liberation events from 1995 – 2010 on behalf of CBC.
